- "THE MOVIE FANATIC"January 13, 2026I actually found this so called documentary 🙄🙄🙄 quite jumpey tbh! I had my hands in front of my face, when they were in the shark cage and especially when they got stranded in the open water, it was very suspenseful in that regard, because you didn't know when the Great Whites were going to strike. However there's nothing that pisses me off more, when a movie is trying to insult my intelligence by saying to me as the viewer watching, that this is a real life event that occurred and here's the actual footage of what took place! First of all if that was real, they wouldn't have been allowed to make it public like that and treat it like a movie, you can tell it's not real also by the way they were acting in that situation and all of the bullshit and unrealistic moves & choices that they made totally unrealistic. And when you have a so called documentary 🤨🤨🤨 that wants to title itself Open Water 3 it's laughable. And also having a huge nod & easter egg to the OG Open Water with the yellow camera that was in that 1st film! How are we supposed to take this seriously, if this movie had just been honest and said this is a fake movie documentary of actual events that took place, this film potentially could have gone up one star in my rating, because I was scared when they were stranded and definitely when it got dark, it did give me those thrills & scares that these kind of shark movies should give you, so in that respect the movie did its job. Overall this is a solid & surfacable ⭐️⭐️⭐️ movie not a real life documentary that, did have me on the edge of my seat when they were in the shark cage and got stuck in the ocean, so for that reason it's a movie I recommend! If you can look past all of the bullshit, that it's trying to tell you and stupid character moves & decisions then you'll enjoy it.
