The blinker cadence of Robin Williams's Echo when Connie Nielsen finds her husband is cheating via the photos is ALL attributed to me! Lol! I actually got to meet with the DP and suggest that filming the scene as it was would be great, but I had JUST put led turn signals in my pick-up, and I made comments to my friends about how the speed of my new blinkers was enough to induce PTSD! And Jeff Cronenweth wanted to hear it HIMSELF before letting me go nuts! I can't believe how something SO INSIGNIFICANT wound up being put into a film of this caliber! The movie industry is somethin else!

Robin Williams is genuinely haunting here, grounding every moment in quiet dread and sadness. This movie is so aggressively 2002 I felt like I should’ve been watching it on a translucent teal iMac.

The result is a film that is equal parts unsettling and annoying, I am entirely satisfied never watching or thinking about it again.
