- Rafael MonroyNovember 8, 2025Sergio Leone's Magna Opus. A deeper plot than in any of his other westerns, interesting, layered characters, a noble ideal or two and a soundtrack that is... Well, as perfect as every other one by Ennio Morricone. If ever a person should have lived forever... Anyways, the photography is inspired as is the edition. There are breathtaking shots that remind us how much beauty there is around us and how we squander it. The actors are put in roles that are not usual for them and they display their talent with relish. The final showdown could have easily had Samurai instead of Gunslingers. Introspective, exciting. Watch it and enjoy cinema at its best.

You'll never find a western out there with a meatier story than this one, and it's such a mood. My all-time favorite western, and Top 5 favorite film ever!
