Vera Golubeva is an employee of a textile combine, she lives in a dormitory. In her free time, she arranges the fate of her friends. Although this occupation is disinterested and informal, Vera approaches it professionally: she works with the press, sends out marriage announcements all over the Soviet Union and carefully selects suitors. Vera herself is lonely, walking on foreign weddings, forgot to dream about her own family happiness.
