Positives: - The premise and story is simple but executed to perfection - The characters don’t have to much depth to them but that’s excusable for this type of movie and they are all still likeable - The performances are solid enough for this type of film - There are some intense sequences - The way the heist is executed is so cool and entertaining - The comedy is funny Overall Oceans Eleven is probably the greatest heist flick I have ever seen.

Most people will gravitate to Clooney and Pitt but for my money the real scene stealer is Andy Garcia as Terry Benedict, he is in top villain form here and I've always just been a huge fan of his (happy to see him cast in the hit show Landman, never feel he's gotten enough work in recent years). Beautifully shot and full of quirky character choices and some truly laugh out loud moments make this one of the best movies of the early 2000's. 👍👍 9/10

- PapaHamzehApril 24, 2026A near masterpiece, for me. The ensemble really is unmatched, and each person captures their screen-time quite well. If I had to nitpick, which I love to do, I would say that Clooney comes off as wooden from time to time, but that isn't too different from his normal performances. But sometimes, his charm and good looks carry him in scenes. Obviously, the biggest detractor is Don Cheadle's horrendous accent. Im not sure why it was necessary to the plot, it could have been any accent. Alas, its there, and I must dock a point. Finally, I truly detest Andy Garcia and do not think he is a good actor. But im not sure many people agree with me there. Score is perfect. Shots are so good. A true Hollywood film in every sense of the term. All in all, one of my favorite movies ever.

The cast has that effortless chemistry where it seems like they’re genuinely enjoying themselves, and it makes the whole thing easy to sink into. The plan is smart and layered, but it never turns into homework. A few moments feel a little too convenient, sure, but the movie’s charm carries it through. It’s sharp, relaxed, and just plain cool — the kind of thing you throw on when you want something clever that doesn’t take itself too seriously.
