Nutcrackers Ratings & Reviews
- Kevin WardJuly 1, 2025This seemed like a can’t miss premise for a Christmas movie. Turns out it missed pretty hard. Stiller and Cardelini were fine and I thought the kids were actually really good, but the humor just really wasn’t all that funny. Didn’t feel very Christmas-y at all either. Largely disappointing.
- James TangDecember 2, 2024I stopped at the halfway part. There are few nice things I can say about this movie. It's bad, but not in a "so bad it's funny" sort of way. There are no bad jokes because there are no jokes. They basically took Bad Daddy but took out any comedic elements, and instead of one rowdy kid, there are four. And I'm not saying that it *needs* to be a comedy, but the movie is literally called Nutcrackers and there's not any real sense of tension or drama either. It just sort of exists. But they pointed the camera in the right direction and the actors (children aside) knew their lines and hit their marks so 1.5 stars it is. The bonus .5 star is for what the second half of the movie *could* be, but chances are, I'll never find out.
