Where to Watch Nightmare in the Sun
- Mister ArnMarch 27, 2026“Nightmare in the Sun” plays like a desert-set soap opera built around a hitchhiker, an unfaithful wife, a drunken husband, a sheriff who’s also a lover, and, of course, everything spirals into drama. It’s well shot, but the story is so tangled early on that the first 15–20 minutes feel almost unintentionally funny with everything happening at once. Just when it should tighten into suspense, it slows down instead. Even the bikers who pass through feel off, not in a modern, threatening way, just oddly out of place. It leans heavily on clichés, though often in ways that aren’t immediately obvious. Still, it’s better than expected. Not great, but worth it for the parade of familiar faces; there are a surprising number of recognizable actors throughout.
