I just watched Night School, and I give it 5 out of 5 stars. This movie is just straight-up funny. It is the kind of comedy that does not try too hard to be deep or complicated — it just wants to make you laugh and have a good time. And for me, it absolutely did. The cast is great, the jokes are nonstop, and underneath all the wild moments, there is actually a nice message about second chances and believing in yourself. Kevin Hart plays Teddy Walker, a guy who seems like he has everything going for him but has been faking his way through most of life. When things fall apart, he has to go back to school to finally get his GED. What follows is a mix of awkward situations, out-of-control classroom scenes, and a whole lot of Kevin Hart doing what he does best — being loud, fast-talking, and completely ridiculous in the best way. Tiffany Haddish plays the night school teacher, Carrie, and she’s a perfect match for Kevin Hart’s energy. She is tough, hilarious, and takes no nonsense. Their back-and-forth is one of the best parts of the movie. Every scene they share is packed with quick comebacks and great chemistry. You can tell they’re having fun, and that makes it even better to watch. The night school class is made up of a bunch of characters, and each one adds something to the movie. There’s the overconfident waiter who thinks he’s smarter than he is, the mom who is trying to do better for her family, the nerd who just wants to fit in, and the ex-con trying to stay on the right path. They’re all over the place, and somehow they work together perfectly. The classroom scenes are chaotic in the best way, and everyone gets a moment to shine. What I really liked is that the movie keeps things light but still has a real story underneath. Teddy is trying to change. He wants to be better, not just for himself but for the people he cares about. The movie never gets too serious, but it has those small moments that give it heart. It’s about people who messed up or got stuck and are finally trying to fix things. And that kind of underdog story always hits me. The comedy comes from everywhere — awkward social moments, crazy situations, and straight-up one-liners. Some of it is loud and wild, and some of it is just silly and simple, but it all works. There are some physical comedy scenes that had me laughing out loud, and a few lines that I’m definitely going to be quoting for a while. The pacing is quick, and there’s never a dull moment. It’s just a fun ride from start to finish. I give Night School 5 out of 5 stars because it made me laugh the whole time, and it actually made me care about the characters. It’s goofy, but it’s also got heart. It’s not trying to be anything more than what it is, and that’s what makes it work so well. Overall Night School is a hilarious and feel-good comedy that mixes wild humor with a story about redemption and growth. It is the kind of movie you can watch when you just need to relax and have a good time. And honestly, I loved every minute of it.
