After fulfilling the usual wishes, when Ondra finally gets warm, eats well and gets dressed, a more serious complication comes. Ondra falls in love with Rézinka, the chateau's chambermaid, and Matej the devil also finds favor with Marjánka the cook. But that's not all. A treacherous baron enters the picture, invited by Count Hubert to the courtship and, in fact, to the engagement feast, and it is clear that nothing good can come of this infernal mixture. Especially when Ondra, a bit recklessly, promises the Count that he will build a brand new lavish castle for Rézinka by the next morning. That's a very difficult task for a devil like Matej.
