Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising Ratings & Reviews
- Manuel FrangisDecember 3, 2025I just watched Neighbors 2 Sorority Rising and I give it 5 out of 5 stars. This movie surprised me with how funny, chaotic, and unexpectedly heartfelt it is. I went into it expecting a simple comedy full of wild moments, but it ended up being a story with humor, emotion, and a message about growing up, supporting each other, and trying to understand the people around you. Right from the beginning, the movie brings a lot of energy, and it never slows down. It has that same wild spirit from the first movie, but this time it focuses more on change, responsibility, and the fear of taking the next big steps in life. The cast carries the movie with great chemistry. Seth Rogen and Rose Byrne continue to be the perfect team as overwhelmed parents dealing with more problems than any normal couple should ever face. Their reactions and timing feel natural and hilarious. They both bring warmth and humor to every scene. Zac Efron also does an amazing job again as Teddy. He brings a mix of confidence, confusion, and vulnerability that makes his character more interesting this time around. You can see how lost he feels when everyone around him is growing up faster than he is. His friendship with the main couple becomes surprisingly touching and gives the story emotional weight. The sorority, led by Chloe Grace Moretz, brings energy, personality, and chaos that drives the entire plot forward. Each member adds something funny and relatable. What I liked the most is how the movie builds on the themes of the first one but adds deeper ideas. Instead of only focusing on neighbor fights and loud parties, it explores topics like independence, self worth, and the need to feel accepted. The sorority wants a place where they can be themselves without being judged or controlled. That core idea gives the comedy a meaningful backing. Even when the scenes get ridiculous, there is still a real heart underneath. It shows how people from completely different life stages can misunderstand each other but still find a way to connect. The humor is loud and wild, but it works because the characters react in ways that feel real for who they are. There are scenes that had me laughing because of how unexpected and bold the jokes were. The movie keeps pushing the limits, but it does it in a way that stays entertaining instead of annoying. Seth Rogen’s physical comedy, Rose Byrne’s expressions, Zac Efron’s timing, and the sorority’s unpredictable decisions all come together perfectly. Even the smallest side characters get funny moments that keep the energy high. The pacing is fast but smooth. The story moves quickly from one chaotic moment to another without losing its flow. The stakes feel bigger this time, not only because of the neighborhood conflict but also because the characters are dealing with emotional changes in their lives. The fear of becoming older, the uncertainty about the future, and the challenge of finding where you belong all play a part in the story. Those themes make the movie feel more layered than you would expect from a comedy like this. By the time the movie ended, I felt happy, entertained, and surprisingly moved. Neighbors 2 Sorority Rising mixes humor, emotion, and chaos in a way that feels satisfying and fun. It earned its 5 out of 5 rating from me.
