Murder on the Orient Express Ratings & Reviews
- makdelartJanuary 27, 2026Perhaps it is not an exact adaptation (but does it have to be?), and perhaps the moustache is a bit fussy, but after the initial, overdone and grotesque sequence, once the train got going, it turned into a pretty good film, with the atmosphere thickening with every passing minute. The cast is insanely star-studded, the photography and set design are stunningly beautiful, and it was nice to see another version of the immortal Agatha Christi's novel.
- ZokkiieDecember 5, 2025Fun enough to watch, but not a great remake. The cast is solid and it looks nice, but it never quite captures the magic of the original. Good movie, just not the redo it hoped to be.
- Kevin WardJuly 2, 2025I still don’t really care for this movie but: 1. Hercule Poirot said “among us” 2. Poirot said to Johnny Depp, “I don’t like your face.” And I felt that. 3. In my last watch, my biggest gripe with this film was how impossible it is for the audience to solve the mystery along with Poirot and how the solution kind of just comes out of left field……then 10 minutes before the big reveal happens, my nine year old blurts out the actual solution. And now I don’t know what to think about that. 😆
- fosternccmJuly 20, 2025Fun murder mystery
- Darla Rae KetchamMay 8, 2025A who done it and it wasn’t who I expected.
- Aecio LemosApril 15, 2025Honestly, this is not my favourite production of the story. Agatha Christie would not have used such comedy in her production. However, it probably appeals to the younger crowd and it is a nice way to introduce a masterpiece and a fantastic author to new generations. I can't see anyone else other than David Suchet as Poirot, he is the embodiment of what I think of when I read the books. Having said all that, it is well produced and well made, telling the story with a fresh approach. I will give it 3 stars - 2 for Agatha's story and 1 for the production value. However, I can't give it more than 3 if compared to the Poirot - Murder on the Orient Express from 2010. Lastly, this actor's accent is atrocious. He doesn't sound as if French is his first language, but as I do when I try to pretend. :) Sorry Kenneth Branagh, but you don't match Agatha's Poirot.
- KalMan24January 3, 2025Has to be one of the very few movies that was Beautifully Directed in the past few years.. Can't wait to watch the others in the series!
