A documentary by Karin Wegsjö that follows three young, unmarried women in China - Amber, Jungya and Tingting - between 2016 and 2023. They struggle in different ways to achieve their dreams, find love and realise their ambitions, while Chinese society is undergoing major changes. The Chinese state is increasingly concerned about declining birth rates, while traditional family values are being reinforced. This creates a challenging and sometimes provocative reality for young women in China.
