And even so, I still remember HOW HUGE OF HITS "Blame it on the Rain" and "Girl You Know It's True" Like, my babysitter had the cassette tape, no big deal 😤 I thought they were American lol, Rob and Fabrice (their real names) are actually German🇩🇪 and French🇫🇷, respectively. Which makes the "secret" all that more hilarious when you hear them speak in interviews...because English is their THIRD language....and somehow people were just like: "Nah, it's fine, they cant speak English, they can only sing it." And then they win a fucking Grammy 🤣🤣🤣 Interstating to see all the pieces to come together for, what is basically, rich people manipulating two poor, young, semi-talented black men into making millions and millions of dollars and then letting them take the fall when a secret spirals out of control; it's like Bond-level villainy. The Music industry is fucked! I'm sure glad nothing scandalous ever happens in Hollywood! 🎥👀 PS: Never giving back my Grammy. Stop asking.
- Kevin Ward2 luglio 2025This was a solid documentary that sheds some light on the Milli Vanilli lip sync scandal, and how it all came to be. A pretty fascinating look into how pop music is made. Sad that Rob and Fabrice essentially took the entire brunt of the fall. I, however, have been saying since day one that it’s the rain’s fault.
