- RickJuly 14, 2025The reveal of the final victim was a punch to the gut. The ending hit like a liver shot. If that wasn’t bad enough I got a kick to the nuts when I was reminded this was based on a true story. What an utterly depressing story that is just expertly told and executed. The slow unraveling of the protagonists due to the overwhelming need for answers is like a crushing weight. Bong Joon Ho is just absolutely masterful at what he does.
