Positives: - The movie is well made, well directed, well shot, and well edited - The movie visually looks good - The score is great - The premise of the film is intriguing and immediately hooks you in with the first scene - The performances are all great - The movie is always interesting and keeps you guessing - The twists and turns and reveals we get along the way are all great leading up to a big twist at the end of the film - The movie also contains a great message about love, revenge, and memory Negatives: - The movie is structured and paced in a very unique but almost frustrating way that I feel will affect it’s rewatch ability in the future Overall Memento is a very clever and unique movie that I definitely recommend.
- Luke Erickson13. Juni 2026I really liked this movie. It's a little dark but it gets you right from the jump and keeps that pace the whole movie. The ending revelation is wild and it sticks with you. Christopher Nolan shot this in 28 days on a nothing budget. We'll see what he can do this summer with the Odyssey and a huge budget with a 6 month shooting schedule. Go get your tickets for IMAX. 😂
- Daniel Crandall21. April 2026This is really a great movie. The focus is really on the story as the camera work and editing are great, but simple, without special effects or fancy budget. It really draws you in, and I watched it a second time to see what I missed the first time! Loved it both times! Definitely a little violent and rough around the edges. But it needed to be.

Leonard Shelby hat bei einem Unfall sein Kurzeitgedächtnis verloren. Zwar weiß er, wer er ist, doch er kann sich keine Namen, keine Begegnungen länger als ein paar Minuten merken. Sein Leben besteht aus einem Berg Notizen, Fotos und Tätowierungen, mit denen sein Körper übersät ist. Der Film beginnt mit einem Mord, festgehalten auf einem Polaroid. Der einzige Hinweis, dass Shelby den Mord begangen hat. Ein Mann ohne Gedächtnis kann von seiner Umwelt leicht missbraucht werden. Shelby versucht aus dem Wirrwarr von Notizen und Fotos das Geschehen zu entschlüsseln. Wenn er vor dem Spiegel steht, sieht er die Tätowierung: Finde den Mörder deiner Frau. Töte ihn.
