Intriguing Premise, Uneven Execution "Marrowbone" is a film with a compelling core idea and it holds your interest more often than it loses it. The tone is atmospheric and hints at darker secrets, and there are moments of genuine tension that work effectively. Where the movie struggles is in execution. The plot, while intriguing, doesn't always develop with clarity or depth. Some twists feel predictable, and the emotional beats are uneven, making it hard to fully connect with what the story is trying to say. The pacing doesn't always support the suspense it aims for, causing certain scenes to drag while others rush by without enough impact. The performances are solid and sincere, with the cast committed to their roles. They help keep the film grounded even when the narrative wavers. Technically, the movie is well made: the cinematography and score contribute to a moody atmosphere that enhances the overall experience. Ultimately, "Marrowbone" is an interesting watch, but it's a case where good intentions and occasional strong moments don't entirely add up to a cohesive whole. It's watchable and has its charms, but it falls short of being consistently compelling.

It had some great scares, some great acting, and a good plot. Enjoyable.
