Helena (Odete Lara) is married to Bruno (Paulo Autran), a very rich decorator. Even in the midst of luxury and wealth, she is a woman dissatisfied with the futility of social life. To get out of this life that she considers superficial, she breaks up with her husband to resume her relationship with her old boyfriend, Clóvis (Oduvaldo Viana Filho).
