- klit75December 6, 2025It holds up pretty good I think a lot of gen z influencers could learn something from Andy. He was able to play the media when it was far more conservative and far smaller --a tough nut to crack. Jim Carey poured his heart into this role and that's about all you ask from any actor. Im honestly not blown away by Carey's acting skills like others are but he was born to play this man.
- stuhannafordAugust 28, 2025In terms of the film, like many when discussing Andy Kaufman himself, I just didn't get it. I understood the concept of the humour, its novelty, and the times, but for me, it just fell flat. I never felt invested in the people, or the story, it just wasn't very interesting. I kind of felt I was constantly waiting for a 'gotcha' moment, but it never really arrived. The twists are obvious, perhaps with a more modern outlook they struggle to shock. I'm not sure I actually found out much about Kaufman at all, but perhaps that's the point of this enigma. I don't know. The only actor I felt interest in watching was de Vito, and for that, I give an extra star. Overall, a review in one word... Taxi!
