Where to Watch Make Way for Tomorrow
- Rowan KrzysiakFebruary 12, 2025About half-way through this I was thinking that with my method for picking old classic movies I'm gonna get a few duds. The fact is, the awkward first hour of drudgery is actually in service of the quite remarkable second-half set-piece which is like nothing I've ever really seen before and it's likely something I will think about for the rest of my days. A purposely paced and deeply moving bleak painting. If you have a spare Sunday afternoon (and a heart) do try to persevere with it.
