Directed by Fritz LangIn this classic German thriller, Hans Beckert, a serial killer who preys on children, becomes the focus of a massive Berlin police manhunt. Beckert's heinous crimes are so repellant and disruptive to city life that he is even targeted by others in the seedy underworld network. With both cops and criminals in pursuit, the murderer soon realizes that people are on his trail, sending him into a tense, panicked attempt to escape justice.

- Rowan KrzysiakFebruary 12, 2025An intriguing watch that flicks a switch to become something that's vital to see. The final scene had my mouth gaped open throughout. Rarely have I seen something so powerful and ripe for debate. I can't shake the sight of Peter Lorre's eyes and sweat. "I haven't any control over this evil thing that's inside of me! The fire, the voices, the torment!” Highly recommended.
