Lone Survivor Ratings & Reviews
- DeadlyDuncanOctober 10, 2025Compelling watch. Makes you think as it is based of true story. Non stop till the end.
- Dan DeaseJanuary 17, 2026Very intense movie. Amazing story. Frustrating at how it went down but very interesting nonetheless. Definitely a watch.
- EithanJanuary 12, 2026Lone Survivor is an intense and gripping film that powerfully captures the brutal reality of war. It slowly but surely pulls you into the chaos, fear, and relentless pressure faced by soldiers in combat. While some aspects of it can be debated for accuracy, the emotional weight and raw portrayal of brotherhood, sacrifice, and survival are undeniable. The action is harrowing without feeling glorified, and the performances help ground the film in a sense of realism that makes it hit even harder. It’s a tough watch at times, but a deeply impactful one that stays with you long after the credits roll.
- ርልዪረNovember 16, 2025A truly brutal and gripping cinematic experience, Lone Survivor may be brazenly gung-ho and jingoistic, not to mention somewhat anti-climactic, but it delivers a metric tonne of thrills and contains one of the most intense and bloodiest gun fights I've ever seen in a film. It might stretch the suspension of disbelief a little too much at times, with our heroes surviving not 1 but fatal-looking cliff falls, but the excitement comes from the fact that it puts you right in the action, and you feel everything. Every bullet, every kick, every punch and every single thing the protagonist crash into. It's a bleak as Hell depiction of the savagery of war and just how strong the will to survive truly is. It's not a masterpiece, and many movies have been made with a more complex and compelling message on war, but for its sheer amount of heart-pounding action, scenes, it's definitely worth at least one watch.
- NumiSeptember 11, 2025Watching Lone Survivor felt like getting punched in the chest by reality. It’s brutal, relentless, and emotionally devastating in a way that few war films dare to be. Mark Wahlberg delivers a grounded, haunted performance as Marcus Luttrell, and Peter Berg’s direction doesn’t flinch from the chaos and carnage of the failed mission in Afghanistan. The firefight sequences are intense and visceral, and while some critics point out the lack of deep character development, I found myself caring deeply about these men simply through their grit and camaraderie. Yes, it leans heavily into patriotism, and some moments feel stylized for Hollywood—but the pain, sacrifice, and brotherhood come through loud and clear. Based on my own reaction, I’d give it a 4.4 out of 5. It’s not perfect, but it’s powerful—and it leaves a mark.
- Theo JanssonMay 15, 2025Amazing, very good gunplay
- mickerdooJuly 7, 2025Four guys put up a hell of a fight. Unbelievable at times. Really sank in at the end when you see the soldiers this was based on.
- George BananzaJuly 1, 2025I wish I didn’t survive while watching this film.
- Mister ArnMay 18, 2025The opening sequence of Lone Survivor really fooled me, it made me think I was about to see a realistic portrait of combat. Instead, Lone Survivor just turned out to be another Rambo-like action movie. It's really too bad, because this story had everything it needed to be a great movie.
