In the 23rd century, inhabitants of a domed city freely experience all of life's pleasures — but no one is allowed to live past 30. Citizens can try for a chance at being "renewed" in a civic ceremony on their 30th birthday. Escape is the only other option.

Remembered it as a much better movie. Farrah Fawcett was terrible in her few minutes on the screen.

Logan’s Run is a fun, fast-moving sci-fi adventure that delivers an intriguing premise wrapped in classic ’70s style. Set in a post–global war future where an AI tightly controls society and enforces population limits, the film explores themes of freedom, conformity, and the cost of engineered perfection. Michael York and Jenny Agutter make for engaging leads, grounding the story with charm and sincerity as their characters begin to question the world they were raised to accept. The film’s pacing keeps things moving briskly, balancing action, mystery, and philosophical ideas without becoming overly heavy. While some of the special effects and set designs are undeniably dated, they add to the movie’s retro appeal rather than detract from the experience. The central concept remains compelling even decades later, especially in an age increasingly shaped by technology and surveillance. Logan’s Run is an enjoyable, thoughtful sci-fi classic that still entertains—and it’s exactly the kind of high-concept film that could benefit from a smart, modern remake.

After so long it's great to see such a good transfer to BD

My first ever science fiction movie.

An attempt was made, but only just. Even the most grating deep fried ASMR ear-rape from Tiktok can't touch the offensive auditory invective this film calls a soundtrack. Charming miniatures are the only redeeming quality of the shooting locations, the rest of which are clearly matte paintings, poorly disguised sound stages, and cheaply decorated mall interiors. None of the acting is deserving of an international motion picture release. Even the set pieces manage to be derivative and forgettable in what is otherwise an at least mildly intriguing premise. Avoid at all costs.
