Linda geht tanzen
Directed by Karola HattopThey're a perfectly coordinated team: Linda Hessler and her husband Frank have been running a small, fine gourmet restaurant together for years - he manages the kitchen, she oversees the service. The two took over the restaurant, located in an old half-timbered house, from Frank's father, Wilhelm. However, the old patriarch still watches over the goings-on at his former stomping grounds with a keen eye and a sharp tongue. Like his father before him, Frank has earned the restaurant a prestigious Michelin star. However, he's not satisfied. To demonstrate his full talent to the constantly criticizing Wilhelm, he does everything he can to obtain a second star. Frank's perfectionism and short temper not only alienate his employees, but also his highly talented son and junior manager, Jan. Meanwhile, Linda increasingly senses that the romantic magic of their marriage has long since given way to a routine coexistence. It was during this time that she met Peer Lüders, the restaurant's new florist. He's taken over the neighborhood's old flower shop and is now preparing to turn Linda's life around as well. From the very first moment, he flirts with her charmingly - something Linda, who is no longer used to a man making such an effort for her, is only too happy to accept. Peer even manages to persuade her to go dancing together. And if love for Frank once led through the stomach, Peer now dances his way into her heart with a rocking step. Frank, who only sees stars, doesn't realize how his wife is drifting further and further away from him. Only when it's almost too late does the master chef realize that his pursuit of professional recognition is threatening to ruin his personal happiness.
