The film is spawned from the manga regarding the living dead and depicts a land where a virus causes the afflicted to become zombies. A young man, who is about to graduate from high school, contracts it. Consequently, he cannot obtain a job and society is cruel to him. He has little sympathy at large. He is stressed and unhappy, which makes his illness worse. His family, girlfriend and friends want to help, but can do little.
