Three inseparable friends, Jean, Lucien and Etienne, are off on an eventful vacation. First, one of them, Lucien, is called up for military service. As for Jean, who has come to the barracks to visit Etienne, he finds himself the victim of an unfortunate misunderstanding and is drafted in his turn. He soon deserts and hides out in a women's hostel where Anneliese, a charming Munich girl, is staying. He entrusts Etienne with the mission of helping her discover Paris, which makes him the luckiest of the three. But, fortunately, everything will work out for his two friends in the end.
