Beautifully shot and the performances are fantastic. What I appreciate most though is his stories are always compelling and never predictable.

- cultfilmlikerMay 27, 2025The vision is so bold. Incredibly inventive direction and writing. I see Tarantino and Wes Anderson in this Some of the coolest transitions I’ve seen in film. Just absolutely incredible visuals all-around. Wildly convoluted plot. Have no idea whose story went where and when tbh lmao so many off-screen and non-linear, interweaving narrations it was truly tough to keep ahold of. Mainly in the midst of all the inmates’ backstories and roles in the plot. I’ll take some of the blame just bc you know I miss some things sometimes lolol Was almost getting bored after an hour and some but thankfully the third act really turns it up! The most gut-wrenching chair pull of all-time. Good God The subtitles are awful when watching on MGM+ via Prime Video. Blend in with the background a lot of the time making them unreadable! Come on! (edit: wiki’d the plot, realized what I missed, bumped it up at least a half star for now lol)
