L.A. Confidential Ratings & Reviews
- AndreaMay 5, 2025My new favourite film, incredible in every aspect
- mickerdoo4d agoTook two watches but everything you want from the genre. Sex, complicated crime and the period. Crowe, Pearce and Spacey are phenomenal.
- Pat BrownJuly 4, 2025One of my favourite films. Everyone turned in a great performance but I especially loved Russell Crowe as Bud White and Guy Pierce as Ed Exley though James Cromwell surprised me by seamlessly becoming the unexpected bad guy. Well worth a second or third watch. It’s a wonderful portrayal of Los Angeles in the 50s.
- glosse93January 26, 2025Soooo well written, every actor was fantastic.
- Alan CookApril 11, 2025Terrific, realistic film. Superb actors.
- RyezooFebruary 20, 2025A movie with essentially 3 leads, tells the tale of good and crooked cops trying to get to the bottom of a case. Great acting all around especially from Guy Pearce. Good acting is when you can't stand a character and then they are able to do a complete 180 and you find yourself rooting for them. Russel Crowe is great as the brute force cop as is Kevin Spacey as the sleek Hollywood cop. Complely feel in love with the 3rd act of the movie. Only question is would that character really survive that confrontation?
