Kidnapped: Elizabeth Smart Ratings & Reviews
- LivewireAdminFebruary 3, 2026I was 14 when all this went down. I definitely remember it receiving national news coverage as I live in PA and was aware of the search for Elizabeth as well as her eventual return to her family. I wasn't aware of the specifics until this doc, such a harrowing experience for her. I was impressed at the intuition and intelligence displayed by Elizabeth in regards to dealing with her narcissistic captor who was able to manipulate his delusions of grandeur at such a young age. She truly saved herself. As far as documentaries go, this was fine. It doesn't break the mold but doesn't veer into Lifetime territory either. I'm not a fan of re-enactments but the ones in this didn't really bother me.
