Kes Ratings & Reviews
- cultfilmlikerFebruary 19, 2026I’m no prude but this has wayyyy too much nudity to be PG-13. Especially considering who is depicted 😳 It’s essentially exactly what you expect and unfortunately loses a few points for that This film being made in earnest helps me understand the early Malcolm McDowell cult hits even better! Glad the film explains the title so quickly at least! Love the idea of naming your pet after their breed. This is my dog, Wei (pronounced ‘why’) [RIP Bourbon the Weimaraner] A racy level of humor for a coming-of-age film! And a lot of unique storytelling narratives! The comic was exceptional. The football score overlay was cool too That teacher’s monologue impressively holds up! Except for the whole corporal punishment part Casper telling his story about Kes was great. I can only imagine the effect talking in front of your peers about something you’re passionate and knowledgeable about would have on a young person’s social / speaking skills! I did not think Casper was gonna come out of that shed the same that he went in. Glad I was wrong!
