Kandahar Ratings & Reviews
- faizannabiNovember 28, 2024Always USA super savior usa vs all other evil countries as usual portrayed.
- nar133May 20, 2025Yeah the typical propaganda movie to try and justify war and invasion of countries that are supposed to be threats to America. America or its Z_ ionist Master are the terrorist , invaders , murders of millions of civilians of countries they want to conquer nothing else pure and simple.
- Chris CurtisMay 29, 2025At its core, this is a pretty typical Gerard Butler action/thriller movie, which isn't a bad thing. It's pretty natural to compare "Kandahar" to "The Covenant", 2023's other film about a Westerner and his translator in Afghanistan. This never quite rises to the level of Guy Ritchie's film overall, but Kandahar actually does a better job of portraying the multiple sides involved, which is a nice contrast to most war/action films. Ultimately, this is a solid action film and will entertain those going in with the appropriate expectations.
- Kevin WardJuly 2, 2025Solid action drama. Gerard Butler continually surprises me with his ability to get me emotionally invested in his characters, delivering earnest performances in films what seem like they’re going to be throwaway action thrillers. Kandahar finds Butler being hunted by special forces after he takes out a covert military target. Stranded in hostile territory he and his Afghan interpreter (Navid Negahban) are left to fight their way to their extraction point at Kandahar. Reuniting Butler with Greenland and Angel Has Fallen director Ric Roman Waugh, Kandahar‘s action set pieces are fairly engaging. The helicopter chase sequence utilizing night vision in particular captured something rather unique. While the film still may largely be relegated to throwaway action thriller status, it’a worth checking out.
