Kameraden
Directed by Patrick Baumeister, Peter RothapfelTwo soldiers walk through a snowy landscape. In front of them emerges a watchtower. They go in: The small, dusty tower room serves them as a serving area and bedroom. Soon it becomes clear: They are on a lost post, the guards' service in the middle of nowhere turns into a fight with each other. With binoculars they cover the horizon for an enemy which is already there: They are the enemies. The relationship between the two worsens. The emptiness, the tightness and the endless waiting starts to take effect: Comradeship shifts into enmity, tolerance changes to hate. The watchtower is a trap. While snow falls incessantly outside, the situation escalates inside. At first one just wants calmness, but need turns into desire, at any price: they struggle for their lives with force and dynamite.
