- Nicholas Florio24 grudnia 2025I love Rose Byrne, she makes just about any movie enjoyable and she is so beautiful. She always plays her parts well. I'm not the biggest Ethan Hawke fan but I liked him and the character he played. All in all, it is worth watching. Even if it isn't the most groundbreaking piece of cinema ever. Just watch it.

Rose Byrne and Ethan Hawk and Chris O'Dowd were perfect for their roles in this very compelling film, peeled by talented writer Nick Hornby. Loved the use of the English (Kent) locations and how the story just blossomed from a ladies cross Atlantic messenging relationship with the muscian, in the States. A plausible and enjoyable story, skillfully acted and directed. I hope Nick Hornby was involved with the film! Love his storytelling. Saturday 25 January '25 Today, I finished reading "Juliet Naked" (on Kindle) and just had to watch the film, which I found to be a very interesting experience -one which I do recommend. A faint feeling of familiarity washed over me, as caracters from the book (I'd previously seen in film form) appeared like old friends I kind of knew. It was fun to spot the inaccuracies and also lots of faithful dialogue, from the book. Then I noticed a wild inaccuracy 'Annie and Duncan' were living in a place called Sandcliff, which turned out to be Broadstairs, in Kent -rather than 'Goolness' as was portrayed in the book. Anyway, it's a pleasant enough experience to relive (as I did) on my own. Must try it again sometime!
