It Stains the Sands Red Ratings & Reviews

Wow, I loved this movie. What a tour de force performance from Brittney Allen. She basically IS the movie. It never drags really and the story keeps you interested to the end.
Wicked Horror
Joey Keogh
As zombie movies go, It Stains The Sands Red is among the best modern examples.
Daily Dead
Heather Wixson
I'd absolutely recommend it to all fans, but especially those who have felt like they need to see something new when it comes to their zombie cinema.
Cinema Crazed
Felix Vasquez Jr.
Has seeds for a great horror drama, but it could stand a ten minute trimming, and a new climax.
The Hollywood Reporter
John DeFore
Begins as unpersuasive horror, then segues into annoyance-based comedy before veering in stranger directions.
Variety
Dennis Harvey
Watchable if never really scary or funny enough to leave a memorable impression, this middling endeavor should nonetheless pull in a fair number of home-viewing horror fans with its offbeat theme and lurid title.
Village Voice
Rob Staeger
Like a dog turd lurking in the middle of a jelly doughnut, a needless, brutal rape scene poisons the whole experience.
Blu-ray.com
Brian Orndorf
Allen does a fantastic job carrying the picture, assisting Minihan in his successful quest to do something a little different with zombies.
Reeling Reviews
Laura Clifford
just after Casey Affleck managed to create a sympathetic character while acting beneath a sheet in "A Ghost Story," we now have Riedinger developing a soul without ever shedding his zombie characteristics.
Film Threat
Norman Gidney
It starts off strong as hell with a boldly original concept. Yet it falters as it lumbers further and further into the arid wasteland.
