- Daniel GustavssonJuly 9, 2025I did not like the monster design at all, and the movie was a bit too predictable. It gets very silly at times too.
- ElliJuly 6, 2025I really liked the Indian lore and the way it was told but the movie overall wasn't that good. Sadly. It was also very predicable and was easy to see what would happen.
- N8October 10, 2024While I was eager to embrace this film, it ultimately fell short of expectations. The creature design was genuinely unsettling, but the plot felt predictable and relied heavily on familiar demonic possession tropes. The film did offer a glimpse into the struggle between traditional culture and the pressure to assimilate, particularly in the way she tries to fit in at school. However, this theme could have been explored with more depth and nuance. In its attempt to introduce audiences to demons from underrepresented cultures, it reminded me of films like Under the Shadow and Drag Me to Hell. However, unlike those films, it lacked a certain spark of originality. It's a shame because a diverse cast and a unique cultural backdrop had the potential to elevate this film beyond the typical horror fare.
