At first, the wagon load of Russian champagne that has landed in the freight yard of a small East German town appears to be a stray. Looters have broken open the doors of the wagon, but not a single bottle is missing. The addressee named in the consignment note, a local haberdashery, is also strange. A major from the state security service starts investigating.
