It’s a gorgeous looking film that wonderfully captures Chris McCandless’ romanticism and his yearning to get away from it all, while simultaneously emphasizing the sadness left in his wake — the people that knew him and loved him that failed to lure him into staying around. Tragic and beautiful, it’s one of my favorites.
