Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny Ratings & Reviews
- VarunOctober 19, 2024A lacklustre and unnecessary sequel. The protagonists didn’t have much chemistry. How does one waste Mads Mikkelsen’s talent on a weak one dimensional villain? The historical artefact and ruins explored this time around evoke no majesty. A child character is usually written into adventure movies to bring some lightness and fun but here he was just plain boring. The train and car chase scenes were pretty decent but they don’t even hold a candle to the action in the past movies. The ending had the chance to be an epix climax but the villains were defeated in the most lame way. Disney green lighting franchise movies with crap scripts that rely on nostalgia is finally backfiring and glad to see they lost over 200 mil on this cash grab of a film.
- NewFilmsAnonymousJune 19, 2025Enough of the petulant Amazonian. We want Shia LaBeouf back!
- M08YJuly 17, 2025The first 20 minutes is a somewhat enjoyable digitally de-aged adventure. After that, you are left with a shallow, disrespectful, and worstly, boring film. Badly edited, poorly conceived and completley incoherant story. It's incredibly obvious that there were about 3 different scripts for this film that were glued together. Also a shoutout for the longest, most boring and illogical car chase scene I have ever seen in anything. It's genuinely impressive to make a boring Indiana Jones film. Save yourself the effort and just re-watch Raiders or Last Crusade. Even Kingdom of the Crystal Skull has more to say for itself than this shallow disaster.
- Spaceman JoeJuly 7, 2025It’s underrated okay?!??!
- Rowan KrzysiakFebruary 23, 2025The age of Harrison Ford is hard to shake and it feels like an old-man cosplaying as Indiana Jones. The characters are weak with their only strength being irritation and where the series was previously punctuated by fun, this one just feels sad and that's if anything is felt at all. At best it is dreadful but it's predominantly pointless and round the series off with its worst entry.
- RyezooFebruary 4, 2025So they felt like they took to many risks in the last one, so they delivered one of the most bland, boring, and underwhelming mission impossible ripoffs one could ask for. The opening sequence was probably the best part. Enjoyed some of the typical Indian Jones moments through out, but to me this is the weakest and the saddest way for a cinema legend to hang up the whip.
- Kevin WardJuly 2, 2025Genuinely fun and pulpy MacGuffin chasing adventure. I loved the opening 20 minutes in particular, but there are a few action set pieces that were really well done. Harrison has still got it bringing to life one of the most iconic characters to ever grace the silver screen. If this is the last rodeo, I’m happy with the way this one closed out. Phoebe Waller Bridge’s character was a little too one dimensional (for most of the film at least). In the final act she’s finally given some layers, so maybe I’ll feel better about her character on second watch. I do think PWB fits well into this universe though. I think what I liked best about this film is that there’s a moment near the end where the dial is activated and I genuinely had zero idea what was going to happen next. Those kinds of experiences, I find, are extremely rare in cinema. It was really thrilling and I loved where they went with it. No spoilers, but I didn’t love Indy’s ultimate fate. I watched with my daughter and we were both sort of hoping that the film would follow through with the fate that is suggested by Indy. I think that would have been a more emotionally impactful ending. Instead, they kind of took a safe and easy route. Still, my daughter and I both immensely enjoyed it. We watched in ScreenX which we don’t do very often but this was really fun and immersive. And truthfully none of the CGI ever bothered me even if some of it is pretty obvious. So much better than Crystal Skull. Some of these stars might be simply for washing the awful taste Crystal Skull left in my mouth.
- penbastMay 2, 2025It is not the best movie. But I can relate with the character. Do we want to see Indy as a failing professor? No. But it is honeSt to his character. No one knows about his adventure of the ark, the grail or the Sankara Stones. So why should he be famous? I really can connect with Indy because I already see myself there in the same situation. It is sad but it is the truth.

- Daniel BrancoApril 1, 2025Not to bad. I liked it. Definitely reaches at time but all Indiana Jones movies do. Solid watch
- Matthew SyvinskiMarch 7, 2025It was a good movie but it was very slow at moments or parts gets boring at times but at least it comes to back to the action in the movie.
- TanalienJanuary 9, 2025As a fan, maybe I expected too much from what should be a comical, breakneck-paced movie. But each film has a point beyond the adventure. Raiders has the romance. Temple of Doom has another romance set in the past and a heroic mission to save a village. The Last Crusade has Indiana reconnecting with his father. Indiana Jones films have a heart behind the thrills. Dial of Destiny has a washed-up Indiana carried on an adventure while he battles the regret of past mistakes. There certainly is a heart, but not the story that is worthy of a telling.
