- sndys71. januar 2026Creative take on a dream world where reality and fantasy blend well. I think the story gets thin and shallow at the end. The Sandman is short-written which makes the viewer not feel empathic towards him and the sandmans struggle. The whole movie made sure realism is the dominant pillar in this movie. But the mom and dad all of the sudden believes the whole sandman story and entering the dreams too. I lost it there. Poor writing at the end which gives it 2 stars for the good scenes and potential.

My complaint, and the reason this didnt get more stars, is this is overall a story that should not need to be told to kids, and people need to stop accepting how bad the rate realy is, and stop trying to normalize it.

The animation has personality, even if it's not quite polished enough to compete with the genre's top tier. The soundtrack supports the mood nicely, adding an airy energy that fits the film's playful spirit. Where the movie falls short is in its storytelling. The plot is straightforward - sometimes a little too straightforward - and the emotional beats rarely land with much force. The characters are likable enough, but they don't get the depth or development needed to fully connect. The humor works here and there, offering small laughs, but it often feels safe and predictable rather than genuinely clever. Still, "In Your Dreams" has an easygoing charm. The underlying turmoil of family issues wasn't overbearing but managed to keep the plot afloat the entire way through. It's heartwarming and adorable at times without being completely dorky. Sit back and enjoy the dream.
- Davey’s Wonderful World21. november 2025This movie is so infuriatingly mediocre. I have no idea why this film has an 80% at all. The characters animation is very uncanny and way too textured and the animation in general is really nothing to write home about. The story is basically Spellbound but slightly better I will give it that not that that’s saying much though. The only thing I actually came close to liking in this movie is the music score by John Debney it’s decent but even then it’s not that memorable it just exists and does what it’s supposed to do, its just there. 5/10
