Dark fairytale vibes, epic soundtrack, and wild visuals. If you love Nightwish, this is a must-watch. Highly recommended 🔝.

This is a story of epic and poetic magnitude, if you like what dreams may come, Dante's Inferno, and Babel, this film will not fail.

When I looked at the cover, I thought this was going to be more of a horror/scare-type movie. However, what we have here is more of a reflection of the main character's life. A look back at his experiences, as his mind tries to claw its way back to reality. There is so much in this movie, yet when you get to the end, you realize the main point is very simple. The musical numbers are great and the amount of thought that went into set design, costume, and character building makes the experience even more immersive. The movie, likely intentionally an artistic choice, is very dark so get prepared to turn the lights down low to be able to see all the details.

Interesting and imaginative. The basic storyline is predictable but the imagery is engaging enough to keep you entertained for however long this film is.

I thought I was in for a trainwreck with this one. It doesn't help that this was made in the worst (Anette) era of Nightwish either. However, I was very surprised with what this movie brought to the table. Super creative and well executed. You don't have to be a Nightwish fan to enjoy it either.
