The tropical island setting is fun at first, but the plot is predictable, the characters make frustrating choices, and the scares fall flat. Even with a few creepy moments and some nostalgic late-’90s vibes, it doesn’t do much to justify its existence. Watch it if you're a completist—otherwise, you're not missing much.

- James SaenzJuly 7, 2025“see anybody out there? how about freddy or jason or somebody?“ a worse scream 2 and a bad slasher movie in general; but everybody is insufferably hot (yes even rufus humphrey is unfortunately attractive here), the production design is surprisingly great and the soundtrack slaps, so i can’t be too upset about it. can’t believe they made jennifer love hewitt scream at the sky again. it was silly yet endearing in the first movie, but here it just feels forced.
