Hotel Transylvania 3: Summer Vacation Ratings & Reviews
- wf625June 30, 2025I think this was the best hotel Transylvania and I laughed a couple times while I was watching it
- DdoughnutMay 15, 2025This guy is allergic to the sun, why did this come out in July?
- Jamie TalbotApril 27, 2025Not as charming as the first 2 movies yet still a fun watch. Being able to purchase this one on a 4K Blu-Ray made a huge difference, the colours and detail in the animations are incredible. I also think the message behind the film is really good and something kids can learn from.
- Manuel FrangisMarch 18, 2025I just watched Hotel Transylvania 3: Summer Vacation, and I would give it a solid 4 out of 5 stars. This movie takes the fun and energy of the first two films and brings it to a completely new setting. It is packed with humor, wild animation, and plenty of monster craziness that makes it an entertaining ride from start to finish. Adam Sandler returns as Count Dracula, and as always, he brings so much personality to the role. His voice performance is just as strong as in the previous movies, making Dracula both hilarious and relatable. This time, the story focuses more on him, which leads to some really fun moments. His interactions with the other monsters are just as entertaining, but there is also a new twist to his character that adds something fresh to the series. The rest of the cast is great as well. Selena Gomez as Mavis brings the same charm and wit that made her character so likable in the first two films. Andy Samberg as Johnny is still his goofy and upbeat self, keeping things fun whenever he is on screen. The monster gang, including Kevin James as Frankenstein, Steve Buscemi as Wayne, David Spade as Griffin, and Keegan Michael Key as Murray, all return and bring plenty of laughs. Their dynamic is one of the best parts of the movie, and they always add to the fun. One of the biggest changes in this movie is the setting. Instead of the hotel, the story takes place on a cruise ship, which adds a lot of new environments and creative animation. The change in scenery keeps things fresh and allows for plenty of fun visual gags. The cruise setting also introduces new characters, including Captain Ericka, who plays a big role in the story. The animation is just as fantastic as ever. The exaggerated movement and over the top expressions make every scene feel full of energy. The bright colors and detailed backgrounds add to the excitement, and the creativity in the animation style keeps things visually engaging. The action sequences are fun to watch, and the way the characters move adds to the humor in a way that only Hotel Transylvania can pull off. The humor is one of the strongest parts of the movie. It has plenty of slapstick comedy, clever dialogue, and monster related jokes that keep things entertaining. Some of the best moments come from the interactions between Dracula and the other monsters, but there are also some great jokes involving the cruise setting and the ridiculous situations they find themselves in. The comedy feels fresh and never gets old. One of the things this movie does well is balancing humor with heart. While it is mostly a lighthearted comedy, there are still some touching moments that give it more depth. The themes of family, acceptance, and change are present, just like in the previous films. These moments never feel forced, and they help make the movie more than just a series of jokes. The pacing is solid, keeping things moving without ever feeling slow. There is always something happening, whether it is a funny moment, an action scene, or a heartfelt conversation. The story never drags, and the energy stays high from beginning to end. The only reason I would not give it a perfect score is that some parts feel a little more predictable than the previous movies. While the setting is new, the overall formula is similar, and there are moments where the story could have been a little more creative. That being said, it is still a really fun movie that does exactly what it sets out to do. Hotel Transylvania 3: Summer Vacation is a great addition to the series. It has plenty of laughs, amazing animation, and a fresh setting that keeps things interesting. It is not the best in the franchise, but it is still a fun and entertaining movie that is definitely worth watching. I had a great time with it, and it is definitely a movie I would watch again.
- Daniel GustavssonJanuary 23, 2025This movie is okay I guess, but this franchise really got ruined by the last one. The taste still lingers from that one for me.
