    Hollywood Shuffle is a classic film with a premise so pure it is timeless. Robert Townsend expertly uses humor to illustrate a persistent reality in both film and television. The excitement and enthusiasm of the mostly unknown cast ads to the realism of the project. While the film will certainly seem dated to a contemporary audience, I believe its message is so powerful it should be considered a must-see regardless of race, especially for those aspiring to this field of endeavor.
