A charming young daughter decides to make her father a smoking jacket for his birthday. Being in doubt as to the size, she bribes the butler to take his back measurements, the maid to take the chest measurements, the brother the sleeve and cuff measurements. These were to be taken at opportune times when the father would not be suspicious of what they were trying to do. After much trouble to all concerned, the measurements are secured and given to the daughter, who makes the smoking jacket.
