- rg9400October 20, 2025I am going through movies on the Science of Scare list which measures movies on viewer heart rates and heart rate variability, and Hell House LLC held a very admirable position of 11 despite me never hearing about it before now. It's among some really good company, so I went in with reasonable expectations, but I left a little disappointed. The movie isn't super focused on lore or characters or plot or themes, it wants to deliver fright and that is its only goal. Unfortunately, the shaky camera at the heart of the found footage simply does not work in key moments. It is so chaotic that, for me, the climax was way more confusing than terrifying. The lead up to the climax works better because the movie leverages the haunted house setting to constantly have things in frame or around the corner with you trying to constantly discern if one of them is not supposed to be there. However, so much of the setup and conclusion to this movie fails to build that atmosphere or deliver a satisfying ending to it. The whole documentary framing story feels kind of like a pointless conceit, especially because most of the movie's runtime completely shifts into found footage with very limited interruption from the documentary itself. The actors are also not particulary engaging, and I never actually felt myself rooting for characters to survive. The movie also tries to throw in a little bit of lore, but it never really goes anywhere. Overall, I think this is a movie on a very limited budget that does deliver some excellent scares in its middle section, but it isn't able to keep it up throughout its entire runtime, making its beginning and ending less interesting.

- jackmeatOctober 5, 2025My quick rating - 5.5/10. These flix have been sitting in our Halloween playlist for years and are finally being viewed. As far as found footage goes, it definitely is one of the better entries in the genre. I do believe people get all worked up when a BWP-type flick doesn't completely suck, so they rate it way higher than it should be. I understand the why, but don't get carried away; this is the lowest end of a 6 you can get.
- QuothageSeptember 22, 2025I am not generally a fan of found footage and shaky cam however Hell House Llc, but you know what you're getting when you watch them. This film really did a good job of carrying the scare through a decent story that builds up carefully through the 90 minutes and leaves you feeling pretty creeped out towards the end. And at the end of the day, what more can you ask for from a horror?
- sleed7September 19, 2025I've watched Hell House quite a few times, and this movie still stands out as one of the examples of found footage done right. While some secrets are left to the imagination, this movie gives you the creeps through a heavy atmosphere and scares in all of the right places.

- Southside SullyAugust 22, 2025Hell House LLC is legit. So many found-footage movies are just don’t do it for me, but this one genuinely freaked me out. I was actually uncomfortable watching it, which is rare. It’s not about cheap jump scares; it's the creepy stuff you barely notice in the background and how real it all feels that gets you. The whole thing just builds and builds until the ending, which is absolute chaos. It’s one of the only movies that has actually scared me in years. A total must-watch if you want a real scare.
