They’re all part of one main story, but each one has its own atmosphere and personality, so the series never feels repetitive. As a fan of found-footage horror, I’d rank Hell House LLC among the best: memorable villains, great visuals and a very distinctive style. Discovering the movies was part of the fun. I watched Hell House LLC without knowing much about it, and then I kept finding out there was “just one more” film. Apparently, the Abaddon Hotel has a better expansion plan than most franchises. With all the recovered footage, interviews, clues and evidence, it genuinely felt like I was slowly uncovering a real story. It was incredibly entertaining, and I still have a lot of fun every time I rewatch the films. Totally recommended...especially if you love found footage, creepy clowns and hotels with absolutely terrible customer reviews.

Yes it’s a low budget movie, but they did NOT disappoint in creating suspense and stand still creepiness throughout the entire movie as that seems to be their key horror element. I won’t rate the other hell house movies because it’s a hit or miss but it’s worth watching the others just for the plot.

I could see Hector's hair when he was playing the piano and also the clown was obviously too heavy for Andrew to carry it back, if Paul put it in there, let Paul put it back where it supposed to be... and who hide himself under a blanket after seeing someone in their room? Not me, I will be screaming my lungs out and throwing things at it... a little lame tbh
- rg9400July 7, 2026I am going through movies on the Science of Scare list which measures movies on viewer heart rates and heart rate variability, and Hell House LLC held a very admirable position of 11 despite me never hearing about it before now. It's among some really good company, so I went in with reasonable expectations, but I left a little disappointed. The movie isn't super focused on lore or characters or plot or themes, it wants to deliver fright and that is its only goal. Unfortunately, the shaky camera at the heart of the found footage simply does not work in key moments. It is so chaotic that, for me, the climax was way more confusing than terrifying. The lead up to the climax works better because the movie leverages the haunted house setting to constantly have things in frame or around the corner with you trying to constantly discern if one of them is not supposed to be there. However, so much of the setup and conclusion to this movie fails to build that atmosphere or deliver a satisfying ending to it. The whole documentary framing story feels kind of like a pointless conceit, especially because most of the movie's runtime completely shifts into found footage with very limited interruption from the documentary itself. The actors are also not particulary engaging, and I never actually felt myself rooting for characters to survive. The movie also tries to throw in a little bit of lore, but it never really goes anywhere. Overall, I think this is a movie on a very limited budget that does deliver some excellent scares in its middle section, but it isn't able to keep it up throughout its entire runtime, making its beginning and ending less interesting.

The story picks up five years after a mysterious tragedy, following a documentary crew as they return to the scene to uncover the truth. The found footage style builds incredible dread, and the convincing performances really elevate the low-budget feel. While the pacing can be a bit slow in stretches and the shaky cam might be divisive for some, the overall atmosphere makes it a must-watch for fans of the style.
