This won't be everyone's cup of tea, but if you enjoy cheap looking B movies (as I do), then you'll enjoy following Rowdy Roddy Piper as he tries to save a bunch of women so he can impregnate them and save humanity from mutant frogs! See? So much fun!
- Richard2 gg faThis is one of those movies you stumble across on TV and immediately wonder who approved it and why you’re still watching. It’s a post apocalyptic fever dream where the budget, the script and basic logic all took the same day off. The premise alone is peak 80s insanity: Roddy Piper plays Sam Hell, one of the last fertile men on Earth, forced to rescue kidnapped women from mutant frog people. Yes, frog people. Yes, this was a real movie and yes, it’s somehow entertaining. The film leans hard into its B‑movie identity, cheap sets, rubber masks, awkward action scenes and dialogue that sounds like it was written during a lunch break. But that’s also the charm. It never pretends to be anything more than a weird, low budget sci‑fi romp with a wrestler as the hero and amphibian villains who look like they escaped from a theme park ride. Piper actually carries the movie surprisingly well. He has that natural “I can’t believe I’m in this, but let’s roll with it” energy that makes the absurdity work. The frog mutants are equal parts hilarious and unsettling and the whole thing moves with the chaotic confidence of a film that knows it’s ridiculous and doesn’t care. Is it good? Absolutely not. Is it fun? Weirdly, yes. It’s the kind of movie you watch once, laugh at and then spend the next hour wondering how it ever got made. And honestly, that’s part of the charm, it’s unapologetically bizarre, proudly cheap and exactly the kind of thing you expect to find while channel surfing late at night. A cult classic for people who enjoy movies that are so strange they loop back around to being entertaining.

Dieci anni sono trascorsi da quando, alla fine del XX secolo, il Big One, una guerra nucleare e batteriologica ha decimato l'umanità.
