Directed by Ernst LaemmleThe engagement party for Mary Travis and Tom Sinclair is thrown into turmoil when Tom's father is shot and killed. Tom unwittingly casts suspicion on Mary's father, who happens to be standing next to the gun that killed Mr. Sinclair, and Mary breaks off her engagement when her father is convicted and sentenced to hang for the murder. Tom sets out to clear her father's name and find the real killer.
