Halloween H20 🎃🔪 is imo the best out of all the Halloween sequels...it has a fantastic opening. JLC's performance in this is the best out of all the 7 times that she's played Laurie. I also love the fact that she's in hiding and has changed her name...that makes logical sense and makes it feel realistic. Josh Hartnett is also really good as John Tate. H20 is also paced really well it gets in & gets out and doesn't overstay its welcome. And last of all the best thing about H20 is the 3rd act & climax, the very ending of H20 is the best one out of all the sequels...and makes the H20 timeline the best one, if you exclude Resurrection of course...it just has that sense of closure to it. The only thing that holds it back is the mask and the fact that Michael doesn't have any burn marks on him because obviously he was engulfed in flames in H2 1981...and that doesn't make any sense whatsoever!!! But apart from those couple of big issues the film is great, always loved H20 🎃🔪

Aged worse than I expected it to. The masks are atrocious and it’s extremely difficult to look back on this film positively knowing how hard the screwed everything up with resurrection.

Having Curtis come back was a great call and the long awaited confrontation between her and Michael was cool but you can definitely feel the Scream influences all over this one. Which makes sense considering Kevin Williamson did an uncredited re-write of the script. The ending felt pretty definitive here and it would have made for a great final image of the franchise but they just couldn't let it lie. Letterboxd: FilmPhanPA

Cool seeing Jamie Lee Curtis back, but the movie feels more like a ’90s teen slasher than a proper Halloween. A couple good moments, but pretty average overall.

90's slasher movies are great, watch it for nostalgia
