- Spencer MB23. Oktober 2025Listen, I like the original Disney adaptation a lot but something about this one just hits harder. The tragedy really seeps through every frame and there were multiple moments that had me in tears. The animation is top-tier, especially thanks to the detail in the models. The way Geppetto's face becomes more sunken and purple as he becomes sad is just great. The English voice cast was also fantastic, Ewan McGregor really killed it as Sebastian, Gregory Mann was perfect as Pinocchio and I couldn't even tell that Ron Perlman voiced the Nazi simp. Also, Cate Blanchett voices the monkey. Wild.

Just enough the same story to be familiar but enough different to be interesting. del Torro keeps you on your toes while watching this beautiful visual movie. the voice acting is superb from everyone. No one came up short here. It's a must watch family movie that's not short on lessons. Just be careful how old that child is…..my opinion.

- Kevin Ward5. Juli 2025I’m kind of in awe that this film exists when I just watched Robert Zemeckis’ abominable adaptation not too long ago. In fact, I’m not certain Guillermo del Toro’s vision is a masterpiece, or if it only seems that way by comparison. This is a gorgeous film to behold and the story has been exquisitely adapted. A must watch.
