- Lord_Tulkas30. září 2026I only rated it 4.5 out of 5 stars because the five stars are reserved for The Godfather... but it's a very close call... one of the best crime/mob movies in cinematic history.
- Hairon.p.h27. ledna 2026I don't understand why The Godfather is more famous than this. It's much better
- Zokkiie17. září 2026There’s just something about this movie that pulls me in every time. The music, the editing, the camera work, the voice-over, it all fits together so well and gives the whole thing a crazy amount of energy. Ray Liotta is great, Joe Pesci is absolutely wild, and Robert De Niro is perfect as the more laid-back one of the three. It feels so lived-in, like you’re actually getting a look into this world rather than watching a standard gangster movie. I also love how it makes the lifestyle look exciting without pretending it’s all fun and games. You get the money and the status, but then come the paranoia, violence and betrayal, and everything slowly starts falling apart. The characters are such a big part of why it works, and Scorsese keeps the whole thing moving without wasting much time. Three hours just disappears. One of those movies I can throw on and get completely sucked into.
- The Gutter Monkey25. února 2025Iconic.
- Carter13. září 2026Goodfellas is literally an example of what a masterpiece is. Positives: - The entire story is, from what I recall, adapted correctly - The characters are all different and unique and have their different motivations - The acting from the entire cast is incredible - The intensity is all there - The movie can be emotional at times - The movie can be seriously funny at times as well Overall Goodfellas is a hell of a film and a movie I recommend to all movie fans.
- Howling Mad Murdock7. září 2026What a great movie. Goodfellas has an energy that pulls you in and carries you through the whole thing. The performances, the dialogue, the music—everything works together so well. Scorsese makes this world fascinating even as it gets uglier, and Joe Pesci brings a tension that makes even an ordinary conversation feel dangerous. There’s plenty of style, but the consequences hit just as hard. Absolutely loved it. One of those films that earns its reputation.
