Coming to Earth on a meteorite that falls to Earth, a microscopic alien life form later named Hedorah feeds on Earth's pollution and eventually grows into a gigantic, ever-evolving, poisonous smog-spewing and acidic sludge-secreting monster. Godzilla, Earth's defender, senses the threat and meets ''the Smog Monster'' head-on in a literal battle for Earth's survival.

Godzilla vs. Hedorah Ratings & Reviews
- MechaJayZillaSeptember 29, 2025It's tough to ignore the social commentary in this acid trip of a Godzilla film. This one was unsettling as a kid. Definitely one of the darker entries in the franchise.
- RazorbitzFebruary 22, 2025An objectively terrible film that tarnishes the Godzilla legacy in the funniest ways possible. I love this stupid damn movie, as it reeks of 70s trash in the best ways--from the hideously awful new theme replacing the classic that sounds like someone put a trumpet up, their butt to the utterly deranged environmentalist messaging that meant well but is told in such schizophrenic fashion it boggled the mind. Tangibly on drugs, Hedorah itself is an iconic pile of **** that farts on everyone and everything and sometimes turns into a scatalogical ufo. Best of the worst by far and entertaining all the way through, its hard to hate Hedorah even when the momentum falls off by the end.
